Highlighting What Makes Kind Home Painting Different

During the segment, Michael spoke to the heart of what makes Kind Home Painting unique. While there are countless painting companies out there, we’ve made it our mission to redefine what homeowners can expect from a contractor. From our kindness-first approach to the professional training of our team members, we strive to provide a painting experience where “you and your home a treated with kindness, love and respect from start to finish.”

This commitment to professionalism and care ensures that homeowners feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire painting process.

Premium Painting Materials for Premium Results

A significant portion of the Great Day Colorado segment focused on the high-quality materials we use for every project. Michael had the opportunity to discuss why paint quality matters and how it affects the longevity and appearance of the finished project.

Picture of Sherwin Williams Emerald Paint“We offer three different types of paint for any of our projects. Our lowest grade paint tends to be the highest grade product offered by one of our competitors” Michael shared with viewers. We exclusively use premium paints from industry-leading manufacturers.  These superior products offer better coverage, more consistent color, improved durability, and longer-lasting results compared to budget options.

Using premium paints instead of grabbing something from your local hardware store actually provides better value over time, as they require fewer coats, resist fading, withstand harsh Colorado weather conditions, and maintain their beautiful finish for years longer than standard paints.

While the initial investment might be slightly higher, the long-term benefits make premium paints the smarter choice for homeowners.

The Kind Home Community Outreach Program

Perhaps the most meaningful part of the television feature was the discussion about our commitment to giving back to the community through the Kind Home Community Outreach Program. Michael spoke passionately about how this initiative embodies the “Kind” in Kind Home Painting.

“We believe that running a successful business comes with a responsibility to support the community that supports us,” Michael explained. “That’s why we’ve developed various outreach initiatives that allow us to use our skills and resources to make a positive impact.”

Painting With Kindness: Transforming Homes and Lives

The highlight of our community outreach efforts is the Painting With Kindness Program, which received special attention during the Great Day Colorado segment. This initiative identifies families in need throughout the Denver metropolitan area and provides them with complete home painting services at absolutely no cost.

Michael shared the inspiration behind the program: “During 2020 we looked around and realized people were struggling… We reached out to our past clients and non-profit partners and asked if they knew someone that could use some help? We got some overwhelming responses and painted ten houses for free for families that couldn’t afford it that year. Now, we’ve done over forty.”

Fresh paint can transform not just a home’s appearance but also how people feel about their living space and themselves. What started as a simple idea has grown into a structured program that has made a significant difference in our community. Michael proudly announced during the segment that Kind Home Painting has recently completed our fourth home transformation through the Painting With Kindness Program.

The television hosts were visibly moved as Michael described the impact Kind Home Painting has made on the community.

How the Program Works

To participate in the Painting with Kindness Program community members can nominate deserving families, or families can apply directly through our website. Our team reviews applications and selects recipients based on need and circumstances.

Once selected, the Kind Home Painting team works with the family to choose colors and schedule the project. Our team members volunteer their time, and we use the same premium paints and professional techniques that we apply to our paid projects. The result is a complete, high-quality painting transformation that would typically cost thousands of dollars.

Looking Forward

As the Great Day Colorado segment concluded, Michael expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share Kind Home Painting’s story with viewers. He also outlined plans for expanding our community initiatives in the coming years.

“Our goal is to increase the number of homes we paint through the Painting With Kindness Program each year. We’re also exploring partnerships with other local businesses and organizations to amplify our impact and help even more families in need.” – Michael Sutton, Owner/Founder Kind Home Painting

Breaking Records Volunteering with Sand Creek Greenway https://kindhomepainting.com/breaking-records-volunteering-with-sand-creek-greenway/ Sat, 31 May 2025 03:53:28 +0000 https://kindhomepainting.com/?p=11866 Sometimes the most rewarding achievements come with dirty hands and full trash bags. Our team recently partnered with Sand Creek Regional Greenway for a cleanup day that ended up breaking all-time records!

A Trail Worth Protecting

For those unfamiliar with this natural gem, the Sand Creek Regional Greenway is a beautiful 13-mile stretch of trail system connecting Aurora to Denver. It serves as both a transportation corridor and a natural retreat for countless Coloradans seeking fresh air and open spaces.

The greenway follows Sand Creek through urban landscapes, offering a glimpse of nature right in the heart of our busy metropolitan area. Wildlife, native plants, and peaceful waterways make it special—but like many urban natural spaces, it faces ongoing challenges from litter and illegal dumping.

Breaking Records (and a Sweat!)

Before our day began we were told the record for trash collection was 535 pounds. We were determined to beat that record.

With roughly thirty Kind Home volunteers armed with gloves, trash bags and trash pickers we ventured into the Dahlia Trail system. By the end of the day we had collected an astonishing 638 pounds of trash in a single session—setting a new all-time record for the organization!

The fruits of our labor—638 pounds worth!

More Than Just Trash Collection

While the impressive weight of collected trash gives us bragging rights, the day offered so much more:

  • Team bonding while doing something meaningful together
  • Fresh air and exercise (those trash bags got heavy!)
  • Deeper appreciation for our local natural spaces
  • Conversations with grateful trail users who stopped to thank us
  • Immediate visible impact on a place we all share

We also learned about the ongoing conservation efforts from the passionate staff at Sand Creek Regional Greenway. Their dedication to preserving this urban oasis is truly inspiring.

Our Commitment Continues

Kind Home Painting Launches Pilot Recycling Program https://kindhomepainting.com/kind-home-painting-launches-pilot-pilot-recycling-program/ Fri, 25 Apr 2025 00:02:58 +0000 https://kindhomepainting.com/?p=11638 Taking Action Against Paint Waste

At Kind Home Painting, we’re proud to announce the launch of our new paint recycling pilot program—a significant step in our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility in the painting industry.

We’re tackling one of the painting industry’s biggest challenges: paint waste. Our team regularly witnesses how much perfectly good paint ends up unused after projects are completed. Rather than letting these materials go to waste, we’ve developed a comprehensive program to ensure they’re properly recycled and put to better use.

How Our Paint Recycling Program Works

Our dedicated team members are now actively identifying and setting aside recyclable paint and materials from every project we complete throughout the Denver metro area. This isn’t just an afterthought—we’ve integrated sustainability directly into our daily operations and standard procedures.

The collected paint is then recycled through GreenSheen Paint, a Denver-based company specializing in eco-friendly latex paint recycling. Their innovative methods ensure that usable materials are reclaimed and repurposed, which:

  • Reduces the burden on local landfills
  • Lowers the environmental impact of paint production
  • Gives new life to quality materials
  • Contributes to a circular economy

Creating Industry Change

“Our team sees firsthand how much paint can go unused, and we knew there had to be a better way,” says Michael Sutton, our founder and owner. “This initiative reflects our commitment to creating a more sustainable future, both in our industry and in the communities we serve.”

By making sustainability a core part of our process, we’re taking meaningful steps toward becoming a model for future efforts within the painting and home services industries. We believe that small, consistent actions can lead to significant positive change when embraced company-wide.

Looking Toward the Future

This program represents just the beginning of our enhanced sustainability efforts. As we refine the process and measure the impact, we plan to expand these initiatives and potentially develop additional environmentally conscious programs.

“This is just the beginning,” Sutton adds. “We’re proud of our team for stepping up, and we believe this program has the potential to create real, lasting change. We hope to continue expanding our efforts and encourage others in the industry to do the same.”

Join Us in Making a Difference

As we continue our mission of delivering high-quality painting services with a conscience, we invite our clients and community members to support and participate in these sustainability efforts. Together, we can help build a more beautiful, sustainable, and kind Colorado.
